Course Description
This course introduces the student to automated accounting. The student will learn to use the AccPac Plus for Windows program through practice exercises with basic accounting principles. The course covers the Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable, Payroll and General Ledger modules. A basic understanding of accounting, such as Principle of Accounting (PoA) is an asset.
This computerized accounting course is designed to teach basic Accounting and Bookkeeping Concepts and Practices-GAAP. The Program uses hands-on training to teach the students how to create a Company Database and record day-to-day business events / transactions. Through detailed analysis, the students learn how transactions affect Financial Statements and how the use of Financial Statements helps contribute to business decisions. The course uses the ACCPAC Simply Accounting version 8.5 for Windows software.
Potential CandidatesAnyone who wishes to have a career in Accounting and / or learn more about Accounting, Bookkeeping, and Payroll Accounting. A basic understanding of accounting, such as Principle of Accounting (PoA) is an asset.
